What the Herrscher wants

CHARACTERS

LISA

JEAN

[Noon. At a rooftop surrounded by a metal fence. LISA pushes JEAN, forcing her to back up against the metal fence, LISA closes in grabbing JEAN by her neck. JEAN grips on the hand on her neck]

LISA: Give up

JEAN: [groaning in disapproval]

LISA: [throws JEAN across the rooftop]

JEAN: [grunting for air, holds on to the metal fence on her right] I won’t… I’m not letting you go!

LISA: [annoyed, raises her head] How? You could barely stand. [she looked at JEAN with her purple eyes]

JEAN: [pushes her body against her knee] With… my fists!

[JEAN advances towards LISA with her fists clenched. LISA swiftly dodges JEAN’s attacks, sneakily tripping JEAN causing her to fall. JEAN pushes her leg backwards towards LISA’s face which she dodged. JEAN stood up continuing on her attacks. Slowly, JEAN decided to use her abilities. JEAN failed all her attacks, falling onto a wooden bench attached to the floor.]

JEAN: I’m… not… giving up!

[JEAN pulled the wooden bench from it’s screws and threw it towards LISA forcing her to use her own abilities, LISA cut the bench in half, JEAN comes attacking once again. Without flaw, LISA dodged her way through it and dealt JEAN a knockback attack. Tired, JEAN summoned her blades through multiple black holes and sent them towards LISA. JEAN walks on air, making her way towards LISA. JEAN has shown her true form.]

LISA: You’re always… like this... [LISA closes her eyes] Jean, you’re always like this. Even when you’re battered, you’d still force a smile. You saved me, you saved us all. Yet you shoulder everything alone, at the cost of your life.

JEAN: Lisa! [JEAN clenches her fist, opening her white eyes] This… is my mission..

LISA: Maybe this is for the greater good… [LISA clenches her fist, causing the blades to break apart]

JEAN: Lisa!

LISA: But how can I pretend this is the right thing?

JEAN: Lisa… Don’t… [JEAN slowly floats back to the sky, shaking her head no.]

LISA: I only know that deep down… The world means nothing to me… Without you!

[Lightning struck LISA, revealing her true form. JEAN forced, attacks first with her blades from the sky. LISA starts to dash towards JEAN but she still attacks on full force, trying to prevent LISA near her. JEAN, caught off guard losing her balance. LISA releases her final attack, stunning JEAN. JEAN falls from the sky, unconscious in her original form. LISA falls with her, reaching for JEAN’s hand.]

LISA: You reached out your hand to me on that day. You changed my destiny from the moment we touched…. You’re the most important person in my life.

[LISA leaves JEAN sitting down still unconscious.]

LISA: If rescuing you is a sin, I’ll gladly become a sinner. Farewell, JEAN.

[LISA leaves]
